Teaching Tolerance Grants (Deadline: Ongoing)
The Teaching Tolerance Grants Program, administered by the Southern Poverty Law Center, offers grants to pre-K-12 educators for projects designed to reduce prejudice among youth, improve intergroup relations in schools and/or support educator professional development in these area. Proposals from community organizations and houses of worship will be considered on the basis of direct student impact. Projects funded by Teaching Tolerance tend to be focused on character/moral education, conflict resolution, multiculturalism, community service, and other aspects of tolerance education. summer grant
the New York Military Youth Cadets, Inc. is community-based organization not-for-profit, under 501-C-3, that provides a quasi-military style leadership development program for youth ages 10 to 18 years old, from 15 countries, our multiculturalism is very rich because went we are in the same uniform and under the same flag we are all equal one.
We currently serve a group of 80 low-income youths,that provides hope and activities as part of our veterans out-reach, community beautification, crime prevention, first aid, parades, gang,alcohol,and domestic violance semminars,ESL referrals. after school activities, musical enrichment and precision drill competition.
this year we need your support in order to fulfill our gold and that is to take to summer camp 20 youth, today 10 former cadets are presently serving in the Armed Forces.
