Opportunity to Showcase Innovative Youth Service Programs at the U.S. Citizen Diplomacy Summit

Youth Service America and One World Youth Project invite nominations of youth service programs to be considered for showcasing at the U.S. Summit for Global Citizen Diplomac on November 16-19, 2010, in Washington, D.C. The Youth Service Task Force will be looking for presentations that highlight innovative programs and partnerships in the youth service field that address the following priority areas: Opportunities for young people to serve the cause of citizen diplomacy from here in the US without traveling; Programs that place an emphasis on engaging younger children, ages 5-15; Service-learning opportunities and innovative curricula and models that incorporate inter-cultural learning and cross-cultural exchange; Programs that engage young people in addressing global issues (MDGs) through service and connect young people in different countries who are working on the same issue; Free service opportunities to ensure that everyone who wants to can serve, regardless of income, etc. If selected by the Youth Service Task Force, your program will be placed in a portfolio of ten exemplary cultural programs and made available to Summit participants representing potential funders, fellow international leaders, and delegations from other countries.
