Midwest Consortium's 7th Annual Conference: Transformational Service-Learning
The Midwest Consortium for Service-Learning in Higher Education (MCSLHE) invites presenters and participants to its seventh annual conference on service-learning to be held October 1 - 2, 2010 on the campus of Doane College at Crete, Nebraska. The theme for this conference is "Transformational Service-Learning."
Conference sessions will highlight projects that illustrate how transformation can be an intended outcome of service-learning. Such projects might have elements of these components:
BoardSource Leadership Forum
Open for Innovation: Governing in a New Era
A wide variety of trends and events are fueling boardroom deliberations today. As a result, nonprofit leaders everywhere are taking new approaches to governance with great results.
The 2010 BoardSource Leadership Forum will focus on exploring these key developments. For two days, governance's brightest thinkers and practitioners will gather to share their insights, ideas, and solutions to the challenges we face.
About the Forum
Professional Grant Development Workshop: Master the techniques of writing superior and winning proposals
This intensive three-day grant proposal workshop is geared for: 1) those who wish to strengthen their grant writing skills and 2) beginners who wish to acquire and master the techniques of preparing, writing and winning proposals from various funding agencies. The center of attention will be on how to effectively tell the story that leads to funding, be it for the researcher in the sciences and social sciences, educator and non-profit professional.
